Stephen Hurt successfully defended his master’s thesis on March 7, 2026. His thesis is titled “Design of a Single-Sided Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machine: A Comparison of Neodymium, Ferrite, and Ferrite Flux Focusing for Power Tool Applications.”
